The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, 2026, as public holidays in observance of this year’s Easter celebration.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Magdalene Ajani.
In his message, the minister extended Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria and in the diaspora, urging them to reflect on and embrace the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, patience, and love, as demonstrated in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
He further reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to policies and actions aimed at fostering national renewal, economic growth, and shared prosperity for all citizens.
