The incident, which occurred late Sunday night around 11:47 p.m., was confirmed by police authorities, who said investigations are ongoing to determine the exact number of those abducted. A community leader, Musa Adamu, said the attackers arrived in large numbers, heavily armed, and opened fire indiscriminately on guests gathered at the venue. Many victims sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to the General Hospital in Kagarko, while those critically injured were referred to hospitals in Kaduna. Residents reported that the assailants operated for nearly an hour without interruption.
