Ahead of Kogi governoship election, a non-gover mental organisation, Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution (CHRCR), on Thursday, held Post 2023 Elections Review meeting with Political Parties as part of its fight against Electoral Fraud in Nigeria.
According to the Executive Director of the NGO, Abdul Idris Miliki, “We are working towards ensuring that Kogi governoship election come November 11 is devoid of corrupt practices”
Declaring the one day meeting open in Lokoja on Thursday, the Executive Director, Conscience for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution, Idris Miliki reiterated his commitment in ensuring that Kogi governoship election is conducted in a peaceful, free, fair and credible manner.
He said that his organisation will not relent in the proper education of political gladiators and their parties on the need to embrace peace and patriotism in their political participation.
Idris Miliki charged them to play the game by the rules and shun corrupt practices that could mar the entrenchment of true democracy come November 11 governoship poll in Kogi state.
“Our goal is to institutionalise Anti-corruption, Transparency and Accountability in Nigeria
“We are determined to ensuring necessary political commitment to deepen our desired need for true democracy and fight against electoral fraud” Idris Miliki disclosed.
Miliki spoke on the Review of 2023 General Election; a projection towards the November 11, governoship election while Hamza Aliyu, Executive Director, Initiative for Grassroots Advancement made his contribution “Impact on Political Parties Scorecard”.
