The Njiko Imo East group has declared its support for former Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, describing his candidacy for the Imo East Senatorial District as a movement that has gained momentum across the nine local government areas of Owerri Zone.
In a statement issued under the banner of “Njiko Imo East 4 Prince Madumere,” the group said its members had reached what it described as a “one voice, one decision” position in support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate.
According to the group, its support for Madumere is based on his experience in government, integrity and capacity to represent the people of Imo East in the National Assembly.
“Njiko Imo East says yes to Prince Eze Madumere,” the group declared, adding that his previous service as Chief of Staff and Deputy Governor had equipped him with the experience required for legislative responsibilities.
The group also cited Madumere’s conferment of the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) as evidence of recognition for his public service.
“We are saying yes to integrity: a man whose name is not associated with scandals, but service,” the statement said.
On legislative experience, Njiko Imo East said the district needed a senator capable of immediately engaging with legislative processes rather than learning the ropes after assuming office.
“We need a Senator who will not go to Abuja to learn legislative processes or be intimidated, but a Senator who will hit the ground running from day one,” the group stated.
The organisation also called on its supporters to remain committed to Madumere’s candidacy, declaring that the campaign had moved beyond what it described as “politics as usual.”
It further said Imo East needed effective representation in the Senate and urged voters to support Madumere, whom it described as “a voice that will be heard, not a bench-warmer.”
The statement concluded with a call for voters to support Prince Eze Madumere, popularly described by his supporters as “Ike Oha” and “Ike Imo,” in the forthcoming senatorial election.
The endorsement represents the position of Njiko Imo East and its supporters and does not, by itself, establish the views of all voters across the nine local government areas of Owerri Zone.Suggested headlines
