Nigeria will present a portfolio of investment ready oil and gas projects at
the China Dongying International Petroleum and Petrochemical Equipment and Technology
Exhibition, CDYPE 2026, scheduled for 28 to 30 September 2026 in Dongying, China.
The Nigerian delegation will comprise key petroleum regulators, government institutions,
state representatives and indigenous oil and gas companies seeking access to finance,
technology, equipment and strategic partnerships.
Oraso Consulting Ltd is coordinating the delegation in collaboration with Organizing
Committee of CYDPE, the Nigerian Embassy in Beijing. A dedicated Nigeria China Country
Focused Session will provide a structured platform for Nigerian project owners and
Institutions to engage directly with Chinese financiers, engineering companies, equipment
manufacturers and potential investors.
The session will move beyond general discussions by focusing on projects that are
commercially viable and ready for financing or implementation.
“Participation is not simply about attending another international exhibition. The objective
is to present credible projects, identify suitable Chinese partners and advance discussions
towards concrete commercial agreements,” a programme oSicial said.
Delegation Focused on Investment
The delegation is being structured to bring both regulators and project owners to the table.
This will allow prospective investors to obtain regulatory guidance while engaging directly
with Nigerian companies on specific opportunities, financing requirements and
implementation plans.
CDYPE 2026 is expected to host more than 500 exhibitors across approximately 40,000
square metres of exhibition space, with 20,000+ projected guests. Major Chinese energy
companies, including Sinopec, China National Petroleum Corporation, China National
OSshore Oil Corporation and PipeChina, are also participants.
Discussions during the Nigerian session will focus on:
• Long term project finance
• Engineering, procurement and construction finance
• Joint ventures and equity partnerships
• Oilfield development and gas monetisation
• Technology transfer and technical capacity development

Financing Takes Centre Stage
A major priority for the Nigerian delegation will be securing structured and long term capital
for viable projects.
Engagements will cover project finance, procurement credit, equity investment and joint
venture arrangements. Particular attention will be given to opportunities in gas processing,
modular refining, petrochemicals, pipeline infrastructure and related energy projects.
The initiative forms part of eSorts to attract credible foreign investment into Nigeria’s
petroleum industry and connect indigenous operators with international partners that
possess the required capital, technology and technical expertise.
Engagement to Continue After Exhibition
The programme will not end with the exhibition in Dongying. Nigerian project sponsors will
be matched with suitable Chinese counterparties for continued negotiations after CDYPE
2026.
The post event process will support further technical discussions, due diligence and the
development of commercial documents, including term sheets, financing agreements,
engineering contracts and final investment decisions.
