The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his landslide victory in Saturday’s governorship election, describing the outcome as a reflection of the people’s confidence in his administration and President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Media and Publicity of the group, Tunde Rahman, the organisation also congratulated its South-West Zonal Coordinator and Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Chief Dayo Adeyeye, alongside the Ekiti State Coordinator and the 16 Local Government Coordinators for their roles in securing the victory.
The group commended the people of Ekiti State for conducting themselves peacefully and ensuring a transparent and credible electoral process.
According to the statement, President Bola Tinubu’s reforms and policies created an enabling environment that contributed significantly to the success recorded by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors also praised its leadership, including Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who serves as Director-General of the group; Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the Deputy Director-General; Gombe State Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya, the Secretary; and other APC governors for their efforts in supporting the party’s victory.
The group said the election result demonstrated the confidence of Ekiti residents in Governor Oyebanji’s Shared Prosperity Agenda and its alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision for national development.
It, however, noted that attention would now shift to the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, stressing the need to secure another victory for the APC.
“As Renewed Hope Ambassadors, our work has only just begun. We must work for the victory of the APC candidate in the Osun governorship election and continue to articulate and disseminate the reforms and achievements of President Tinubu, which are significant enough to guarantee his re-election in January 2027,” the statement said.
The group further stated that Governor Oyebanji’s first term recorded visible achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment, healthcare and education, adding that his re-election was both an endorsement of his performance and a mandate to do more.
The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising support for policies aimed at deepening development across Ekiti State and Nigeria.
It also urged the governor to remain inclusive and magnanimous in victory by fostering unity among all Ekiti people.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors wished Governor Oyebanji success, strength and wisdom as he begins another term in office, expressing optimism that the state’s best days still lie ahead.Headline suggestions:
