The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (M.E.N.D), forces of the Liberation Army of the Niger Delta and Bakassi (L.A.N.D. & B) have claimed responsibility for the attack that destroyed major oil pipelines in the region.
The pipelines are, Ogada Brass Agip trunk line running from Omouku to Brass Agip terminal 0200hr and the Oron river back of maritime academy
A press release by the groups and obtained by Daily Review Online said the attacks signify the launch of a campaign to drive out of Rivers State usurpers of the people’s legitimate authority.
“We call upon all armed groups in Rivers State not to allow this affront pass without a fitting consequence,” the statement added.
