Nigerian music superstar Davido has opened up about his transformation, revealing that he no longer chases women, having repented and found peace in his marriage. In a candid interview, the artist shared how his wife’s grace has had a profound impact on both his personal life and career.

According to Davido, whenever there’s tension between him and his wife, it directly affects his music and business. “Whenever I have issues with her, I don’t do well in my music, and my business goes down,” he confessed. However, he’s learned to make amends quickly, especially as his new album approaches. “If I mistakenly have issues with her, she would say, ‘Ok, shebi your album is coming, we’ll see.’ And I will quickly make peace with her,” he shared with a smile. He went on to add, “When I am at peace with her, everything I touch blows.”

The singer went further to praise his wife’s grace, emphasizing that she never airs their personal issues in public. “You can never see her go to any interviews or go live and say, ‘My husband do this or that’… never!” he said. “I can’t sit here and say I am perfect. Nobody is perfect.”

Davido also spoke about how his life has evolved since settling down. He revealed that he bought a house for his wife and brought her mother and children to America, solidifying his commitment to his family. “My life has been very peaceful,” he said. “Sometimes when me and the boys go out, they’ll say, ‘Boss, you are now too boring. No girls?’ Because I don’t play that game anymore. I just go home, relax, and find peace. It is more than any money. She gives me peace of mind.”

In a surprising admission, Davido also shared that he no longer desires any drama in his life, especially given his fatherhood responsibilities. “I don’t want wahala. I have 5 kids with four women. I’m not cheating again,” he revealed, addressing his past relationships and affirming his decision to prioritize peace and stability.

When asked about the influence of his family on his choices, Davido referenced his uncle, the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, who is known for having two wives. “My uncle, the governor, has two wives…” Davido mentioned, implying that family dynamics have shaped his understanding of relationships.

In this heartfelt reflection, Davido made it clear that he has entered a new chapter of his life—one where his focus is on peace, growth, and the well-being of his family. And with his new album on the horizon, it’s clear that his personal life and career are more interconnected than ever before.
