The Ogun State Police Command declared music artist Habeeb Olalomi, known as Portable, wanted on Monday night over his involvement in a violent attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
According to the police, Portable, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, led a group of nine thugs in an assault on the unarmed Ogun officials. The officials sustained injuries but managed to escape and report the incident to the Ota Area Command.
The attack took place at Odogwu Bar in Ota, where the officials were conducting an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. During the exercise, the team encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father.
Although Portable posted several videos on social media apologizing for the violent incident, the Ogun Police Command later issued a statement on its official social media account, declaring him wanted based on a valid court order.
“The Ogun State Police Command has obtained a court order declaring Portable wanted. The public is urged to assist law enforcement by providing any information that may lead to his immediate arrest. Those found aiding or harboring the suspect will face legal consequences,” the statement said.
As of now, Portable has not been apprehended, and authorities continue their search for him.
