The marriage between renowned gospel singer Paul Nwokocha and his second wife, Mrs. Goodness Nwokocha, has reportedly ended, according to a family source.
The news was shared by blogger Promise Uzoma Okoro on his official Facebook page on Saturday morning.
Paul Nwokocha married Goodness in September 2023, following his separation from his first wife, Alice Nwokocha, whom he had accused of mistreating him. Goodness, who hails from Nkpa in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, had no prior relationship with the gospel singer before their marriage.
Sources indicate that marital problems began to surface in May 2024, when Goodness allegedly started facing mistreatment in her new home, with claims that she was treated more like a housemaid than a wife. This reportedly led to escalating tensions in the marriage.
It was also revealed that Goodness had relocated from Lagos to marry Paul at the insistence of his uncles, without conducting any background checks.
With the return of the bride price to Paul Nwokocha’s family, the marriage has now been officially dissolved.
