Kogi Community Hails State Auditor-General for Provision of Electronic Borehole

The People Of Odu Ogbaloto Community in Dekina local government area of Kogi state have lauded one of their illustrous son and the State Auditor-General, Alhaji Yakubu Okala for the provision of electronic borehole to boost potable water supply in the area.

The Spokesman of the community and the Omachi Ata Modu of Odu, Chief Ibrahim Omatiga gave the commendation while taking the delivery of the five thousand litre capacity electronically propelled borehole single handedly financed by Alhaji Yakubu Okala for the community.

He said that the gesture would go along way in reducing the untold hardship women and children face in search of drinking water.

Chief Ibrahim Omatiga also praised the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the appointment of Alhaji Yakubu Okala as the State Auditor-General adding that the community is proud of him for influencing the provision of social amenities to his people.

He assured that the people will continue to support government’s policies and programmes as a way of reciprocating the gesture and prayed for God’s guardian, protection and wisdom for the Governor and Alhaji Yakubu Okala as they work for the development of the state.

The multi-million naira borehole project which was handed over to the community by the Personal Assistant to the State Auditor-General, Mr Abdullahi Suleiman is aimed at finding lasting solution to the problem of potable water bedeviling the community.

He explained that the gesture is also targetted at preventing water borne diseases associated with unclean water.

Responding, the Auditor-General, Yakubu Okala through his personal assistant, said that the water project is dedicated to Governor Yahaya Bello inview of his administration’s giant strides in transforming the state.

He therefore, urged the people to sustain their unwavering cooperation to Governor Yahaya Bello’s led administration to enable him do more for the community.

The Auditor-General reminded his his community of the need to complement government’s efforts through self-help projects.
