Nigeria @61: Kogi Poly Rector Urges Nigerians To Embrace Peace, Unity

As Nigeria clocks 61years of being independent, the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr.Salisu Ogbo Usman has urged Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence and remain as united entity to ensure a better tomorrow.

The Rector in a statement to mark the independent day celebration, congratulated the people of Kogi State and Nigeria at large for the journey so far which he described as unshakable.

He said “In the years ahead, it is our sincere wish that all Kogites and Nigerians keep the faith, support the governments at all levels and renew efforts towards the actualisation of the dreams of our nation’s founding fathers.

“It is through such renewal that our national unity can be preserved, leading to a national climate conducive for sustainable global competitiveness.

“To the Polytechnic community, I wish to congratulate and appreciate all stakeholders for sustaining peace and tranquility which emanated from the uncommon commitment, steadfastness, dedication and resourcefulness of all and sundry.

“Therefore, use this medium to assure staff and students of the Polytechnic that Management will continue to uphold the rule of law, stand for what is right and what is just without fear or favour.

“Once again, congratulations to all Nigerians and best wishes on the 61st anniversary of our Independence”
