Ebonyi state governor, Dave Umahi, has faulted a report credited to his former political allies in the state that he did not consult with them before his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Umahi dismissed the claims; pointing out that he planned and executed the move with them; including the PDP caucus of the national assembly members.

Governor Dave Umahi’s defection from the PDP to the APC, has continued to dominate discourse more than a week after.

On Sunday, Umahi told the Ebonyi state APC stakeholders’ meeting in Abakaliki that he hatched the plot to dump PDP with his former political allies who have now turned his foes.

The governor said his move to the ruling APC has nothing to do with any personal ambition.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the APC stakeholders expressed concern over the alarm earlier raised by the governor on the alleged plot by some top politicians to destabilize the security of the state.
