Barcelona and Chelsea will renew their long-running European rivalry after the two giants were drawn against each other in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Antonio Conte’s side surrendered top spot in Group C to Roma and now face the unenviable task of a trip to the Nou Camp for a place in the last eight.

Tottenham, who earned more points than any other team in the group stage, will face Italian champions Juventus, who finished behind Barcelona in Group D.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LAST-16 – FULL DRAW
Juventus vs Tottenham (first leg – February 13, second leg – March 7)
Basle vs Manchester City (February 13, March 7)
Porto vs Liverpool (February 14, March 6)
Real Madrid vs Paris Saint-Germain (February 14, March 6)
Chelsea vs Barcelona (20 February, March 14)
Bayern Munich vs Besiktas (February 20, March 14)
Sevilla vs Manchester United (February 21, March 13)
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Roma (February 21, March 13)
Manchester City, meanwhile, were handed a favourable draw against Basle, while Liverpool’s reward for finishing top of Group E is a last-16 clash with Porto.

Manchester United will face Spanish outfit Sevilla for a place in the last eight in the first round of last-16 ties in the Champions League current format to feature five teams from the same nation.

Monday’s draw in Nyon also produced a glamorous showdown between reigning champions Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Elsewhere, German giants Bayern Munich face Besiktas and Shakhtar Donetsk play Roma. But the standout tie from an English standpoint will see Chelsea and Barcelona clash once more.

They have met 15 times before in European competition, with both sides winning five apiece and the other five ending in draws.

They have shared some of the most iconic moments in the recent history of the Champions League, notably when Fernando Torres’ late goal secured 10-man Chelsea’s spot in the final in 2012.
