President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante” and praising her for her patience, courage, faith and compassion.
In a heartfelt birthday message, the President said he would choose the same path that led him to his wife, reflecting on the years they have spent together and the support she has provided throughout their marriage.
Addressing her as “Oluremi mi,” Tinubu said she had stood by him through different seasons of life, often sharing the burdens he carried and providing counsel when he needed it.
He said there were difficult moments when the future was uncertain, but Senator Tinubu remained calm, prayed with him and offered the understanding and support he needed.
“Through all these years, you have remained the one who truly understands me,” the President said.
Tinubu described his wife as his “truest friend and confidante,” saying she had always been willing to speak honestly to him, even when the truth was difficult to hear.
He also praised her role in the family, saying their children and grandchildren had grown under the influence of her prayers and values of faith and kindness.
The President further highlighted Senator Tinubu’s public service and humanitarian activities, noting her work through the New Era Foundation during their years in Lagos and, more recently, through the Renewed Hope Initiative.
According to him, her interventions have touched the lives of young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers across Nigeria.
Tinubu also commended his wife for advocating for people affected by tuberculosis and other diseases, describing her as a compassionate advocate and determined champion for vulnerable Nigerians.
He said her compassion had extended beyond ethnic, regional and religious boundaries, adding that she had continued to support people even without personally knowing them.
The President concluded his message by celebrating Senator Tinubu’s life and the role she has played as his wife, confidante, mother and humanitarian.
