People’s Club of Nigeria International, Inc. Waco Texas Branch, a vibrant and innovative branch, had its second induction in Garland, Teaxs, USA, a suburb of Dallas on September 5, 2026.
Ten individuals were inducted by the National President, Chief Barr. F.O. Onyebueke. Prominent among them was the esteemed educator and consummate Igbo leader in the Diaspora, Chief/Dr. Acho Orabuchi (Iyi Ogberuru; Ebubedike Ezimba-Ogberuru).
On that blissful Saturday night were other inductees: Super High Chief, Prof. Anthony Ume-Ezeoke, Chief Emmanuel Ibe, Hon. Olayinka Adesulu, Nze Eddy Chukwu, Chief Lawrence Okeke, Dr. Philip Odoemena, Chief Nnamdi Nnodobe, Dr. Agwu Ama Ibom, and Chief Daniel Ogbogu.
The induction was held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Garland, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, Texas where a crowd of Nigerians and Americans were in attendance. Among the distinguished guests from Nigeria were the National President, Chief Barr. F.O. Onyebueke and Chairman Governing Council and Patron Trustee, HRM Barr. Sir L.O. Igwe Arinze.
The National President, Chief Barr. F.O. Onyebueke officiated the induction ceremony. He encouraged the inductees to pursue peace in all their activities in the Club. He reminded all members of People’s Club of Nigeria International of Motto of the Club, which is “Unity, Love, and Service.” Chief Barr. F.O. Onyebueke asked every member to live by the motto in principle, in spirit, and in action. “I urge you to do good to the underprivileged while clubbing,” Chief Barr. F.O. Onyebueke urged all members.
Also, the Executives of the PCNI Waco Branch were in attendance: Branch Chairman, Prince Sir Iyke Ginigeme, First Vice Chair, Hon. Austin Ikechukwu, General Secretary, Hon. Ikechukwu Ukoha, Assistant Secretary, Hon. John Ajoh, Welfare Officer, Hon. Abosede Jackson, Second Vice Chair, Hon. Maurine Achilike, PRO, Hon. Elder Ken Okoro, Treasurer, Pastor Anthony Njugoh, Financial Secretary, Chief Ferdi Ugude, and House Master, Hon. Olayinka Adesulu.
Similarly, in attendance were Chief Jerry Ken Ike, Chief Fidelis Umeh, Hon. Leonard Ohaeri, Ozo/Dr. Fred Ngwu, Hon. Oliver Achime, Nze/Sir Ogbogo Achonwa, Chief/Dr. Chuck E. Osondu, Mr. Ngozi Echebelem, and Chief/Dr. Chimezie Osondu.
In touting his branch, Prince Sir Iyke Ginigeme, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, said, “It’s a branch that is with unique circumstances, replete with strong and resourceful membership.” He continued, “My branch is thriving one that attracts the cream of the crop in terms of individuals applying to become members.” “Our standard is very high, and excellence drives our activities,” Prince Sir Iyke Ginigeme. According to the Branch Chairman, “We used the induction ceremony in the history of the PCNI Waco Branch, bringing together prominent dignitaries, community leaders, professionals, families, friends, and supporters from across Texas and beyond for an evening dedicated to recognizing individuals whose lives exemplify leadership, service, achievement, and commitment to community.”
Prince Sir Iyke Ginigeme enunciated plans for his Branch to work for humanity by supporting motherless babies’ home, scholarship scheme for orphans, micro finance schemes for the widows. “We realize that our people are going through lots of hardship in Nigeria. If we can do things to put smiles on their faces by supporting them in these ways, we will do it,” Chairman Ginigeme stated. He further said, “In addition, our transformative Club supports destitute homes and other community welfare projects through our philanthropic activities.
The First Vice Chair and the Chair of the Planning Committee, Chief Austin Ikechukwu demonstrated tremendous leadership skills in planning and organizing the event. He said that PCNI Waco Branch is positioned to be a transformational branch. Hon. Austin Ikechukwu promised, “Our Branch is going to be a fast-growing branch in the United States.” He further said, “The PCNI Waco Branch will experience explosiveness in terms of attracting quality members who foster humanity.” Hon. Lady Maurine Achilike echoed and said, “This is the best induction ceremony so far.”
In an amazing and unweaving support, Chief Sir Polly Ubah, Ugo Eji Eje Mba Na Ishi-Ubomiri, Chairman Emeritus, PCNI-Princeton Branch, NJ, Global 1st Vice President Emeritus and Patron-Elect, wrote, “Congratulations to my two good friends I knew outside Peoples Club for years Prince Sir Iyke Ginigeme, Chairman of PCNI-Waco Branch and Chief Dr. Acho Orabuchi on their upcoming induction ceremony of new members this coming Saturday. Dr Acho Orabuchi is a tested community leader for years in the Dallas area and beyond the State of Texas. He will be a big asset for his Waco Branch and Peoples Club in general. I congratulate him and welcome him to the Peoples Club family where he belongs. Sir Iyke and Dr Orabuchi, please bear with me for not being in Dallas vis-a-vis Waco for your induction ceremony which I earlier promised to attend but I know that the induction will be a class act.
