The Oyo State Government on Monday demolished a three-bedroom bungalow in the Lako Community along the Aiyegun–Anaye Road area of Ibadan over its alleged connection to an ongoing kidnapping investigation.
The demolition exercise was carried out by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, with support from operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to the state government, the property was identified during investigations into the abduction of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.
The victims were reportedly kidnapped on June 3, 2026, at Elewura in the Challenge area of Ibadan.
Authorities said the demolition forms part of broader efforts to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state. The government noted that the action underscores its determination to strengthen security and dismantle facilities allegedly linked to criminal operations.
It further reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that individuals found guilty of criminal offences, as well as properties used in the commission of crimes where permitted by law, face appropriate legal consequences through due process.
