Arsenal suffered a major setback in their Premier League title push after a 2–1 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.

The visitors stunned the Gunners early on, with Junior Kroupi opening the scoring in the 17th minute. Arsenal struggled to find rhythm but eventually drew level when Viktor Gyökeres converted from the penalty spot.

Just as the hosts looked to regain control, Alex Scott struck in the 74th minute to restore Bournemouth’s lead. Mikel Arteta’s side failed to mount any meaningful response, drawing boos from home supporters at full-time.

The defeat leaves Arsenal’s title ambitions hanging in the balance, with Manchester City now given the opportunity to cut the gap at the top when they face Chelsea. The result also boosts Bournemouth’s hopes of securing European football, as they continue their impressive unbeaten run in the league.
