Bodø/Glimt continued their remarkable run in the UEFA Champions League with a convincing 3–0 victory over Sporting CP in the first leg of their round-of-16 tie in Norway.

The home side took the lead in the 32nd minute when Sondre Fet converted a penalty after a foul in the box. Bodø/Glimt doubled their advantage just before halftime through Ole Blomberg, who controlled the ball well before finishing neatly.

The Norwegian champions sealed the victory in the 71st minute when Kasper Høgh finished from close range after a cross from Jens Petter Hauge.

Sporting created a few chances but struggled to cope with Bodø/Glimt’s pressing and attacking intensity throughout the match.

The result gives the Norwegian side a strong advantage ahead of the second leg in Lisbon, with the winner set to face either Arsenal or Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the quarter-finals.
