Popular gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has issued a strong warning to married men who engage in secret relationships with young women, cautioning that such actions could lead to grave consequences.

Bassey gave the warning during a recent church service that has since gone viral on social media. He criticised married men who conceal their marital status and present themselves as single in order to pursue relationships outside their marriages.

According to the cleric, men who deceive young women and engage in extramarital affairs should expect public disgrace and serious repercussions if they continue such behaviour.

“If you are a married man and you go about deceiving young women, leading them on and even sleeping with them, you are inviting trouble,” Bassey said. “Your shame will be exposed and remembered.”

He added that such acts would not remain hidden, warning that misconduct carried out under false pretences would eventually be brought to light.

Bassey also cautioned women who knowingly enter relationships with married men, especially for material gain, gifts or financial benefits.

“If you know in your heart that a man is married and you still go ahead because of money, attention or material things, you are also putting yourself in danger,” he said.

The gospel singer urged both men and women to uphold moral discipline, stressing that integrity and character should take precedence over fleeting pleasure or material rewards.
