CP Decorates Newly Promoted 300 Police Officers in Kogi

No fewer than 300 police personnel attached to the Police Command in Kogi State, comprising 168 Inspectors and 153 Assistant Superintendent of Police who were promoted to their new rank have been decorated with their ranks.

The Commissioner of Police in the State Police Command,CP Onuoha Bethrand C,who decorated the officers, congratulated them for the well deserved promotion.

He warned the promoted Officers to remain disciplined,reminding them that “it is the bedrock of their Job.”

According to a statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer,SP William Aya, the decoration is sequel to the promotion released by the Police Service Commission for the 14,052 Inspectors to the rank of ASP II and 9,016 ASP II confirmed to substantive rank of ASP1.

The CP said that the promotion was done in conjunction with the Nigeria Police Force under the amiable leadership of IGP Kayode Egbetokun to the deserving Officers.

“The Inspectors who benefited from the promotion were those who attended the last Departmental Selection Board promotion interview while the ASPs were those who passed the confirmation Examination,” the police boss said.

Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted Officers, ASP. Momoh Aminu, appreciated the Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Police Service Commission as well as the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command for the promotion.

He promised that his colleagues would remain more committed to their duties.
