The Lagos State Police Command has reportedly arrested a man suspected of being involved in an armed robbery at the Ghost & Spirit Lounge on Ekoro Road, Abule Egba, Lagos.
The arrest came less than 24 hours after the lounge management announced a ₦5 million reward for credible information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, September 26, 2026, when a group of men were attacked outside the lounge.
A CCTV recording shared online showed a man in a yellow shirt approaching one of the victims while a Mercedes-Benz stopped across the road.
A gunman reportedly emerged from the vehicle and opened fire in the direction of the group, causing people in the area to flee.
The CCTV footage appeared to show the man in yellow and another man in a white shirt joining the gunman before the trio escaped in the Mercedes-Benz.
The victim was reportedly dispossessed of mobile phones and a gold or Cuban chain, although the exact items taken have not been independently confirmed.
The lounge management subsequently announced the ₦5 million reward and said the incident had been reported to the police.
The management also disclosed that a similar robbery had allegedly occurred at the premises about six months earlier, during which customers reportedly lost cash, phones and jewellery. One person was also said to have sustained a gunshot injury but survived.
According to reports circulating online, police arrested one of the suspects within hours of the reward announcement.
Details of the suspect’s identity, the circumstances of his arrest and whether other members of the alleged gang have been apprehended were not immediately available.
The reported arrest followed the circulation of CCTV footage from the latest incident, which has generated widespread attention on social media.
Police authorities are expected to provide further details as investigations continue.
