The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a woman, identified as Lorretta Anoh, in connection with the death of a 36-year-old man, Chikoka Emeka Henry, at his residence in Osongama Estate, Uyo.
Henry was reportedly found dead in his apartment with an injury to his head. According to the police, Anoh was last seen entering the deceased’s apartment on Tuesday.
The police said a search conducted in connection with the investigation led to the recovery of N2,943,250 allegedly taken from the deceased.
The suspect was also reportedly attempting to change the ownership details of a Mercedes vehicle belonging to the deceased when she was arrested.
The Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, Amengheme Andrew, has ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Ikot Akpan, for discreet investigation.
