The family of the late Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewrhudjakpor, has announced a change in the venue for all mourning activities and condolence visits. In a press statement released on Sunday, the family disclosed that, in line with tradition, all such activities will now take place at the late deputy governor’s country home in Ofoni, beginning from Monday, 15 December 2025.
The family advised associates, friends, and members of the public to take note of the new arrangement as they continue to pay their respects.
The statement also revealed that following the sudden passing of Senator Ewrhudjakpor, the family had arranged for an autopsy to be conducted. The results, according to the family, will first be communicated to them, after which the government and the general public will be duly informed as appropriate.
Expressing deep appreciation, the Ewrhudjakpor family thanked Nigerians and well-wishers for the overwhelming outpouring of sympathy, solidarity, and condolences received since the deputy governor’s demise. The family further appealed for continued prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul and for strength and comfort as they navigate the pain of the loss.
The statement was signed by Mr. Francis Ewrhudjakpor on behalf of the head of the family.
