Authorities in Illinois, United States, have confirmed the discovery of the remains of a 42-year-old Nigerian woman, Olasinmibo Abosede, who had been missing since July 30.
Her body was found around 1:55 p.m. on August 16 in Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve, near Naperville. She was last seen leaving her home west of Springbrook Golf Course for a walk, dressed in a black Adidas jacket, grey sweatpants, a black headscarf, and black Crocs.
Naperville Police Chief, Jason Arres, said the clothing on the body matched her description and that final confirmation would come from the DuPage County Coroner’s Office.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss and extend our sincere condolences to the Abosede family,” Mr Arres said, thanking community members who assisted in the search.
