A statement by Chilos Godsent, President, Igbo National Council (INC) said at approximately 7:00 PM, seven armed men, dressed in black, arrived in two vehicles—a Sienna minivan and a Lexus SUV. They swiftly carried out the abduction in what witnesses described as a “Neo Mafia Gestapo” style, forcing the OYC leader into one of the vehicles before speeding off.
Since the kidnapping, attempts by family members, friends, and OYC members to contact Comrade Igboayaka have been unsuccessful, as his mobile phones were immediately switched off following the incident.
