Haaland Signs Landmark 10-Year Deal with Manchester City

Erling Haaland has signed a new 10-year contract with Manchester City, extending his stay at the club until the summer of 2034, the club confirmed on Friday.

The 24-year-old Norwegian striker, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, has been instrumental in the team’s recent achievements. Originally set to remain with the club until 2027, Haaland’s new contract underscores Manchester City’s belief in his long-term importance to their future success.

“I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club,” Haaland said. “Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters, and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.”

Since his arrival in 2022, Haaland’s impact has been remarkable. In his first season, he scored 52 goals across all competitions, setting a Premier League record for most goals in a single season, surpassing the previous record of 36 goals. His prolific scoring played a key role in City’s historic treble-winning campaign, which included the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League titles.

Individually, Haaland collected multiple awards during his debut season, including PFA Player of the Year, Premier League Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year.
