The €90m release clause is giving Manchester United concerns as Napoli-owned Victor Osimhen is eager for a transfer to the London side this January, with Galatasaray having to pay handsomely for ending the loan early.

The centre-forward made the switch to Galatasaray on a dry loan in September, after transfer deadline day moves to Chelsea and the Saudi Pro League fell apart.

There was always the possibility that his situation could be re-evaluated in January, with Galatasaray receiving circa €10m as compensation for interrupting the loan early.

Osimhen has his heart set on Manchester United and “there are moves already” behind the scenes to get the deal done.

Sportitalia also suggest that Napoli have a clause to sell the striker in January worth €90m, with €10m of that going to Galatasaray.

There are also rumours the clause could be closer to €75m to let him leave.

It comes after reports that new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim promised Sporting CP that he would not poach striker Viktor Gyokeres mid-season.

Osimhen has scored 12 goals with five assists in 15 competitive games for Galatasaray so far this season and celebrated his 26th birthday last month.
