Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N990 per litre to N970 per litre, effective immediately. The price cut, according to the refinery, is a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their continued support as the refinery works towards meeting the country’s domestic fuel needs.

In a statement released by Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, the refinery emphasized that the price reduction also serves as a thank-you to the Nigerian government for its support in enabling the refinery’s successful operation.

“As the year draws to a close, we want to express our gratitude to the Nigerian people who have been instrumental in making Dangote Refinery a reality,” said Chiejina. “This reduction is a small token of our appreciation, aimed at easing the burden on consumers while continuing to provide high-quality, environmentally-friendly, and sustainable products.”

The statement also reassured consumers that the refinery would maintain its commitment to quality and that the reduction would not compromise the standards of the products.

Furthermore, Dangote Refinery affirmed its resolve to increase production capacity to meet and exceed domestic fuel consumption requirements, aiming to eliminate concerns over supply shortages.

The price reduction marks a significant step in the refinery’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the nation’s energy security and economic growth.
