President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications at the State House. This announcement was made on Thursday through a statement signed by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga.
In addition to Bwala’s appointment, the President named three new Directors-General for key federal agencies:
Mr. Olawale Olopade, Director-General of the National Sports Commission
Dr. Abisoye Fagade, Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement
Bwala, a lawyer and public affairs analyst, is described by the Presidency as a key addition to the team. The new appointees bring a wealth of expertise from their respective fields. Olopade, a seasoned sports administrator, previously served as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chaired the 2024 National Sports Festival organizing committee. Dr. Fagade, a marketing communications expert, is the founder of Sodium Brand Solutions, while Dr. Adedokun has a background in research, training, and strategic planning at the Bureau of Public Procurement.
The President has urged the new appointees to serve with dedication, patriotism, and excellence.
