Nestlé launches entries for the 2024 Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards

Nestlé has officially opened submissions for the 2024 Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards.

Now in its fourth year, this annual event honors journalistic excellence across Nigeria, focusing on themes such as Nutrition and Affordable Food Solutions, Environmental Sustainability, Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Community Development, Finance, Agriculture, and Best Photojournalist.

The competition is open to all Nigerian journalists and media organizations across print, broadcast, and digital platforms. Participants may submit individual or team entries related to Nestlé Nigeria PLC or the global Nestlé brand, with stories published between November 10, 2023, and November 8, 2024, which is the entry deadline.

Victoria Uwadoka, Head of Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Sustainability at Nestlé Nigeria, emphasized the awards’ significance: “The Nestlé Media Awards are not just a celebration of journalistic excellence; they are a catalyst for positive change. By recognizing outstanding media contributions, we aim to elevate journalism standards and encourage impactful reporting.”

Eligible journalists should submit their entries along with supporting documents, including links to published works, a brief profile (minimum 100 words) of themselves or their organization, and a vivid 100-word description of their entry.

Winners will be honored at a grand ceremony on December 8, 2024, in Lagos, where leaders from the media, agriculture, and corporate sectors will gather to celebrate excellence in reporting.
