Eid-el-Fitr: Kogi CP Orders Water-tight Security Across State

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha, psc (+), has ordered for Water-tight security across the state to ensure hitch free celebration of this year’s Eid-el-fitr.

The Commissioner in a statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya, also heartily felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

He equally congratulated them for the successful completion of the fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the statement, The CP has ordered for water-tight security across the State before, during, and after the celebrations.

He further charged all the Divisional Police Officers as well as their Supervisory Area Commanders, Tactical and Operational Commanders to beef up security within their Area of Responsibilities and to ensure massive deployment of patrol Teams along the major highways and undercover operations to Black Spots, Flashpoints, and other Vulnerable criminal spots to nip in the bud all forms of crimes and criminality across the State, and to make sure that detection of crimes is prompt to serve as an effective deterrent to all criminals.

The CP reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to working in synergy with other Security Agencies as well as Critical Stakeholders in ensuring the safety of lives and property.

The CP urged the good people of the State to continue to collaborate with the Security Forces with prompt and credible information on the activities of criminals to curtail their acts.
