Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker could become the latest high-profile player in Europe to be tempted by Saudi Arabia’s lucrative offensive on European football this summer, according to a report from Foot Mercato this afternoon.
The Brazilian is being targeted by Al-Nassr – who have already signed the likes of Séko Fofana, Sadio Mané and Cristiano Ronaldo. The shot-stopper would become the third Reds player to make the move to the Gulf state, after Roberto Firmino and former captain Jordan Henderson.
The French outlet indicates that Becker is interested in the potential move, which would see him leave the Premier League outfit after five trophy-laden seasons – including a Premier League title, an FA Cup victory, and a Champions League win. Al-Nassr are said to have focused their efforts on bringing in the former Roma man in the wake of a middling performance from their current starting goalkeeper, Nawaf Al-Aqidi, on the opening matchday of the campaign.
