The 2023 edition of the annual Brands and Marketing Conference, has been scheduled to hold November 17, 2023 in Lagos.

The conference, an annual event, is organised by the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN).

The conference is a flagship event organised by BJAN, a body of journalists covering the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) industry, that brings seasoned analysts and informed stakeholders together to dissect key issues facing the economy and Nigeria at large.

The theme for this year’s event, the 11th edition, is: “Private Public Partnership: Infrastructural Development Strategy for Government, Communities & Brands”.

This year’s event promises to bring together seasoned experts within the Government and business environment to dissect the topic and proffer solutions to some of the challenges surrounding the private public partnership model.

According to the Chairman, Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, Clara Okoro, the theme was carefully selected considering the immense benefit surrounding PPP as a model which has in no small way helped in developing key sectors in the country.

Speaking earlier this week, the Director-General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Michael Ohiani, while highlighting key achievements of the agency since its creation in 2010 on Monday in Abuja said, PPPs contribute to infrastructure development by bringing private sector investment, thus bridging the gap between the private sector and the government.

According to him, “From the inception of ICRC in 2010 to date, following our regulatory guidance in line with extant rules and subsequent issuance of Full Business Case compliance certificates, a total of 103 PPP projects have been approved by the Federal Executive Council. These projects have brought in private capital investment of almost N11tn”.

The Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria in it’s resolve to initiate conversations between Governments and the public sector is aware of the incredible opportunities this theme presents for stakeholders who are committed to explore the benefits of this model of partnerships.

BJAN invites interested partners to indicate interest in participating in this history making event.
