The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Tuesday, launched the 2023 Armed Forces Rembrance Day Emblem Appeal Fund
The Governor while performing the ceremony at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Lokoja, said the 2023 emblem remained a symbol of remembrance and a beacon of hope for a peaceful and greater future.
He said the unspoken message to the fallen heroes indicates that their sacrifice was not only noble for the greater good of our fatherland but demonstration of the highest level of patriotism
He called on all government officials, and other members of the society residing in the state irrespective of their political affiliations or religious beliefs, to adorn the emblem with pride and identify with those who laid down their lives for the peace and security of the nation.
Heads of military and paramilitary agencies serving in the state were on ground to witness the occasion.
