The Coach Of The Month award for August has been assigned to Roma coach José Mourinho. The trophy will be presented during the pre-match of Roma vs Atalanta, scheduled for Sunday 18th September 2022 at 6.00pm at the “Olimpico” Stadium in Rome.
The award was assigned by a jury of Directors of sports media who evaluated each coach on the basis of technical and sporting criteria and the quality of play of their teams, as well as their behaviour/fair play during matches.
For the final calculation were considered the matchdays from 1 to 4 of Serie A 2022/2023.
“José Mourinho has once again confirmed himself as one of the best coaches in our league – said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo -. The Portuguese coach has been able to convey the great ambitions of the Giallorossi by transforming them into results on the pitch. His extraordinary motivational skills, his tactical knowledge and his ability to elevate the performance of his players have allowed Roma to get off to the best possible start this season and conquer the top of the table, with three wins in four matches and only one goal conceded”.
