Senator Tunde Ogbeha and Chief Mrs Esther Ogbeha on Wednesday donated food stuff worth millions of naira to Ministry of Mercy, (MOM) orphanage, along Okene- Lokoja road in Kogi State.
The distinguished senator who represented Kogi West in the national assembly made the donation as part of activities line up for his 75th birthday.
Presenting the food stuff to the orphanage, Senator Ogbeha said he will forever be grateful to God Almighty for life and good health.
The former lawmaker and his wife who were represented by the Managing Director, Confluence Cable Network, Mr Simbabi Ogbena, promised to always put smiles in the faces of the less privileged in the country.
According to him, it is very important to always give back to the society, stressing that, he remained committed towards alleviating the suffering of the people.
He called on public spirited individuals to always show love to the needy, adding that, it goes beyond giving money.
” I am highly delighted to be here this year to give to this orphanage. At the end of the day, is all about being kind, thinking of every one else apart from yourself. This is to acknowledge the kindness, blessing God has bestowed. On the last day, we will all leave everything behind on earth.
“The wealth is supposed to be administered to the people, and it is our responsibility to help the less privilege. My message is not just to the well to do alone. Every body can show kindness. You don’t really need money to come to this orphanage.
“In fact, what is priceless is just coming here to show love to the children, that you care and made them understand that they are not abandoned. Why God has bless us is not for us to hoard it, but should be generous” he stressed.
Monday Alidu, who represented the management of the orphanage in receiving the food items thanked Senator Tunde Ogbeha and his wife for always reaching out to the orphanage when they are in need.
The highly elated children in the orphanage home all prayed for Senator Tunde Ogbeha, wishing him long life, prosperity and good health.
Item distributed to the orphanage home includez bags of Garri, vegetable oils, rice, noodles, tubers of yam, toiletries, fruit juice and many more.
