Former Minister, Stephen Ocheni Bags Worthy Servant Leadership Award

Former Minister of State, Labour and Productivity, Professor Stephen Ocheni has been conferred with Worthy Servant Leadership Award by the Nigeriapost Newspaper

Professor Ocheni while reacting to the honour bestowed was on him at the Nigeriapost Lecture series to mark the thirty first anniversary of the creation of kogi state, expressed gratitude to the Nigerian post publisher Mr. Mike Abu and management for the recognition.

He expressed confidence that those given awards at the ceremony actually deserved it .

The minister noted that such awards which are not born out of monetary considerations is a wake up call for such recipients to do more for the development of society.

Speaking about the theme of the event “This house must not fall” , the former Minister of state for Labour and employment noted that the only antidote is effective leadership .

According to him,if practical and effective leadership must be embraced, the principle of management by objective must be embraced

He said Leaders must be determined to follow up on the performance of their followers.

The former Minister commended the publisher of Nigerian post Newspaper,Mr. Mike Abu and management for their giant strides to encourage citizen of the state to put in more in the development of the state.

Professor Stephen Ocheni who was the chairman of the occasion expressed hope that at the end of the event many who attended the event will be able to redefine leadership from different perspectives.

Earlier the publisher of the Nigerian post Newspaper,Mr. Mike Abu thank guests for honouring their invitation.
He commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his achievements in all sectors despite doubting challenges.
