Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has released the school calendar for 2022/2023 year academic session.
A statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Yakubu Dele Musa for the Commissioner, Hon. Wemi Jones, indicated that the commencement of the new academic year’s first term starts on the 25th of September and will run till 16th December, 2022.
First term holiday comes up on 19th of December, 2022 to 6th of January, 2023.
According to the new academic calendar, second term activities will start on 9th of January, 2023 to 7th April, 2023.
Second term holiday begins on 10th of April and ends on 5th of May, 2023 while third term starts on the 8th of May and ends on the 28th of July, 2023.
All public and private schools are expected to adhere to the released academic calendar by the Ministry.
