Colombian popstar Shakira and Barcelona and soccer star Gerard Pique announced their separation in a joint statement released Saturday.
The duo met at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where Shakira was one of the artists to open the grand floor for the prestigious tournament with her song titled ” Waka Waka.”
The beautiful couple spent 11yrs together with two kids.
The confirmation statement reads:
“We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our top priority, we ask for respect for our privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”
