PDP frontline presidential aspirant, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has felicitated with former Deputy President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu on his 60th birthday.
In a statement personally signed by Anyim on Thursday, 12th May, 2022, the presidential aspirant praised Senator Ekweremadu for his patriotism as demonstrated in Ekweremadu’s leadership roles in the Senate and the National Assembly.
He described Ekweremadu as great legislator, an intelligent debater and an astute politician.
Anyim also praised Senator Ekweremadu’s staying power in politics, recalling that the Enugu-state born parliamentarian has been in the Senate for over 16 unbroken years.
“This singular achievement marks Ekweremadu out as a dependable institutional memory on the parliament, who would be constantly needed by Nigeria as the country deepens the practice of Democracy”, the statement said.
Anyim, a former President of the Senate described Ekweremadu as grassroots politician who is loved by his constituents, haven won many elections that kept him in the Senate for long.
The presidential aspirant urged Ekweremadu to continue to render selfless services to his constituency and the country in any position he finds himself.
Anyim prayed that God continues to give Ekweremadu good health and strength to continue to serve his people.
