The Kogi State Commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Haruna Audu has been relieved of his appointment by the state governor, Yahaya Bello.
Reliable information reaching Our Correspondent, indicates that the Commissioner was sacked over a reported allegations of misappropriation of funds.
Dr. Saka Haruna Audu was among the first commissioners appointed by the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello during his first tenure.
According to reliable sources in the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Saka packed out of his office on Tuesday, even as his sympathisers had reportedly pleaded on his behalf that his sack should not be made public by the Governor.
Also it was learnt that the Commissioner told some of his colleagues that he was only suspended.
Efforts to reach him for comments on his mobile phone failed as he could not respond to calls and text message put to him by Our Correspondent.
Dr. Saka was in his second term as Commissioner for Health under Governor Bello before he was relieved of his appointment.
However, all efforts to speak with Kogi state Commissioner for Information and Publicity, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo proved abortive.
