House of Assembly Aspirant Promises to Reduce Poverty if Elected

The Kogi State House of Assembly aspirant for Lokoja 1, Alhaji Maikudi Yusuf has promised to reduce poverty to its barest minimum in his constituency if elected to occupy the seat in the next general elections.

Yusuf also gave an assurance of making positive contributions in the house that would engender economic boom for his constituency, Kogi and Nigeria at large.

Alh. Maikudi Yusuf gave the assurance while responding to journalists questions shortly after his visit to the Local Government People’s Democratic Party Executive Committee to seek their support towards his ambition.

He affirmed that Lokoja as a state capital is not growing at the desired rate economically and regretted that the tourism potentials of the area are yet to be fully harnessed for the benefit of the people.

Alh. Maikudi Yusuf while assuring the party of effective representation, recalled that as a former party chairman, he is always ready to be part of the crusade to support party members in their Lofty ideas, policies and programmes.

The House of Assembly aspirant also promised that he will intensify efforts towards making contributions that would boost quality education in Kogi state.

“I will be one of the greatest advocate of Education for All in the area if elected as a member of Kogi State House of Assembly”

The visitation was well attended by party stakeholders even as the Local Government People’s Democratic Party Executive Committee assured him of their support describing him as an uncommon ambassador whose interest is always the upliftment of the downtrodden.

Various speakers eulogized Alh. Maikudi Yusuf for his steadfastness and commitment to the party and development of Lokoja community.

The PDP Lokoja LG chairman, Alh. Saba appreciated the visit and prayed for the success of Alh. Maikudi Yusuf’s ambition.

Alh. Maikudi Yusuf was one time Council Leader, Party Chairman and Special Adviser to the Governor.
