Determined to stamp out crimes and criminality in every community, the Kogi state Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC , Suleiman Mafara has commissioned Odu Ofomu Divisional headquarters in Dekina Local Government Council of the state.
Performing the inauguration recently, the state Commandant, Commended the community leader and Businessman Ocholi Mark Tokula who donated a block of property to the Corps , describing him as a man with large heart with strong desires to contribute to the growth of his community.
The Commandant stated that the donation of this property to the Corps by the people has demonstrated their resolve and commitment to eradicate all forms of predatory activities within their areas.
He said , the Commandant General of the Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi has been elated by the donation and assured them of the deployment of more logistics and manpower to ensure crime free of the communities.
Mafara who was represented by the Head of Department HOD training , DCC Adebayor Fashakin averred that in line with vision and mission of the commandant General who has been assuring citizenry of the protection of their lives and property, noted that this contribution by the communities would be effectively utilised for the benefit of the Society.
He praised the people for their patriotism in collaborating with the Corps to fighting Crimes in their communities.
” On assumption of office, the CGC assured Nigerians of his determination to rid the society of crimes and criminality. He has kept faith with the people and all the communities that our men are present, the narrative has been positive.
” I hail your zeal and patriotism in working with us to ensure crime free society. I welcome your collaboration with us and with this gift of a benefiting office for my personnel, we will continue to strive hard to justify confidence you repose in us.
” As you are aware , we are the foremost community driven force in the country , and from our track records, we have been able to live above board. We will re-enact the stuff that we are made up, and i assure you that criminals will find the communities too hot for them to live.” He guarranteed.
While calling on the people to give timely and credible information to the Security Agencies, urged the officers and men of the Division to exhibit professionalism and shun act detrimental to the image of the Corps
Earlier, the Area commander of the Corps, ACC. Ochimana Festus thanked the donor and the entire Odu Ofomu Communities for their support and called on Corporate Organisations and well-meaning individuals to partner with the Corps, towards eradicating crimes and criminality.
