As public schools across Delta State resume activities for the 2021/2022 academic session, the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has embarked on monitoring visits to some primary schools to ascertain the level of compliance by both teachers and pupils.
The member representing Delta South Senatorial District in the Board, Mr. Paul Kurugbe, who visited some primary schools in Burutu Local Government Area on the first day of resumption, as announced by the state government, urged teachers to commence full academic activities immediately.
Kurugbe, who visited the Ngbilebiri Primary School, Ayakoromo; Obodo Primary School and Bobougbene, all in Burutu Local Government Area, charged teachers to shun any act inimical to the laudable education policy of the state government.
He commended staff and pupils’ of the schools visited for complying with the resumption time table and called on pupils’ yet to resume to do so without delay.
