Gunmen burn Anambra billionaire, 4 others alive

It was a day of the jackal on Tuesday night in Anambra State as a
billionaire and owner of FC Udala, Philip Nonso Udala and six others were burnt alive by gunmen.

His convoy was accosted by gunmen on Eke Agu-Ideani road in Abatete community, Idemili North Local government area of the state. He was shot dead and his vehicle, a Mercedes SUV set ablaze by the assailants. He was burnt beyond recognition.

Also shot dead were the team manager of his club Godsent Eriobu and three policemen in their convoy.
He was identified when his necklace and his wristwatch bearing his insignia were found. The assassins also killed Peter his driver, Godsent his TM, and Paul his security personnel from Nsugbe. One of his security aides, a police man from Kogi was among those killed.

Udala who got married in June was a member of the Anambra state football association. He singlehandedly sponsored the football club which recently gained promotion to the National professional league.
