Firm intensifies efforts to rescue abducted Ceramic workers

As the Management of West African Ceramics company, in kogi state condemns in strong terms, the Wednesday abduction of its workers, said that efforts are on already to rescue the victims.

In a statement made available to journalists in Lokoja on Thursday, and signed by Hassan Illugbami Igo, Public Relations Officer, (PRO), of the company, said all security agencies in the area have been mobilized to track down the perpetuators and free those in their custody and make their abductors to face the full wrath of the law.

While assuring the workers of the company of their safety, he said the victims would be rescued alive and reunited with their families.

“Yes it’s true that some of our workers were abducted on Wednesday by unknown gunmen, but the management is already on top of the situation.

“We have involve the Area commander, the DSS and together they have initiated all the necessary moves required, we have equally reached out to the families of those that were abducted and assured their of their safety.

“This is Just to let the public and their families know that all hands are on deck to get the captives released and united back with their families.

Recalled that unknown gunmen on Wednesday kidnapped eight workers working with the West Africa Ceramics company in Kogi State.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Kogi State, DSP William Ovye Aya while confirming the incident to our correspondent on Wednesday evening, however said only six mining workers of the company were kidnapped.

According to him, the Police in collaboration with sister security agencies are combing the bushes to ensure that the abducted miners regained freedom from their abductors.
