Council Boss Lauds Bello’s Partnership With World Bank On Rural Development

The Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Council of Kogi State, Taufiq Isah has hailed Government’s partnership with the World Bank using its Community and Social Development Agency to executive rural projects in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

The Council Chairman gave the commendation at the Inauguration of eight projects executed in the local government through the surport of the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency on Thursday.

Taufiq explained that the numerous projects executed across the state by the agency has brought the dividends of democracy closer to the grassroots and contributed immensely to the realization of the New Direction Blueprint.

The Chairman also praised the General Manager of the agency, Mallam Momoh Dauda for prioritizing the needs of vulnerable groups and communities, noting that he has justified his appointment through the agency’s supported projects.

The General Manager of Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency, Mallam Momoh Dauda while speaking at the occasion, attributed the successes of the agency to Governor Bello’s commitment to developing rural Communities.

He urged the people to sustain their support for the present Administration to help create an enabling environment for more dividends of democracy and called on them to protect the projects against vandalization.

Projects inaugurated includes; a rehabilitated town hall and classrooms, a fully equiped skills acquisition center and a solar power generating sets for a health center in Aiyetoro Gbede, a clinic and a block of 2 classrooms in Illuhaba as well as a town hall and skills acquisition center in Agoh Aiyegunle all in Ijumu local government area.
