Jubilations As Development Agency Commissions Micro Projects In Kogi

It was excitement and joy visibly seen on the faces of the  people of Kogi LGA as the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency on Saturday, Commission seven completed  Micro Projects spread across the length and breadth of the Council Area.

The General Manager of the Agency, Mallam Momoh Dauda who led the commissioning train, described the gracious approval of N100m by Governor Yahaya Bello for the Provision of more micro Projects in rural areas of the state as a confirmation of the present administration’s determination to touch positively on the lives of rural dwellers.

The General Manager listed Projects that were commissioned by the Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Bashiru Gegu on behalf of Governor Yahaya Bello to include: A Skill Acquisition Centre and a Water Project in Chikara Community.

Similarly A Water Project and Secondary School Projects were Commissioned at Aseni Community.

Also Commissioned was a Town hall and Water Project at Girinya, Clinic at Otuturu, and a water Project at Oturu Communities all in Kogi LGA of Kogi State.

The General Manager expressed Governor Bello’s desire to make lives comfortable and meaningful for rural dwellers which he said necessitated his further directive to CSDA to within the next two weeks draw up a project plan that would again get his administration’s approval for another N50million towards improving the lots of Rural Communities through the Provision of Social Amenities, described the Governor’s love for Rural dwellers as unprecedented.

Dauda disclosed that Kogi LGA has benefitted over ten micro projects from KGCSDA since the coming on board of the present administration in the state.

While assuring that KGCSDA has resolved to ensure that Rural dwellers enjoy all the Social amenities that would improve their living standard, Dauda urged the benefitting Community to own the Projects given to them by maintaining and protecting the Projects in their Community.

He  ascribed the numerous successes of the CSDA within the last few years to the support given to the agency by Governor Yahaya Bello.

In a remarks at the occasion, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Engr. Bashiru Gegu described Kogi LGA as a gateway Local Government that requires needed infrastructure and Development, praised Yahaya Bello for his dogged determination to transform the rural status of Kogi LGA to one of an urban centre through his several interventions.

The Commissioner assured that the Community would take ownership and protect the Projects located in the area, desceibing the love  Bello has  for Kogi LGA as unprecedented in the anals of the state’s history since creation.

At the Palace of Ohinoyi of Girinya, HRH Mall. Muhammed Ganaguda Momoh, the Royal Father lauded the development efforts of Gov. Yahaya Bello, posited that the people in the rural Communities have never had it so good like present administration.

The Royal Father described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a friend of the poor whose passion has been to wipe away tears from the faces of the people.

Also HRH David Gyawumi Dauda, Atumaka of Chikara expressed his appreciation to the State Government and the KGCSDA for coming to the aid of his community.

The Royal Father described the water Project and the Skill Acquisition Centre as a dream come through for the people of Chikara, requesting for more water Projects and more classrooms for the community.

A resident of Chikara Community, Usman Adangare, said the successful completion of the water Project would reduce incidences of children and women of the area from been knocked down by vehicles in search of water.

In his remarks, the Onah of Aseni, HRH. Muhammed Yakubu, described the successful completion of a water Project in Aseni as a feat that has made the love of the people for Gov. Bello to be unequalled, said lack of portable water has been a major concern to Aseni Community, prayed God to continue to bless the present administration of Gov Yahaya Bello.

Similarly, Ramatu Sani, said the Skill Acquisition Centre would go a long way in providing knowledge to Challenged persons from the area, thanked the state government for considering Chikara Community for the project.

Excited by the successful completion of the water Project in Aseni, the Chairman of CPMC of the Community, Adamu Suleiman, said the successful discovery of water by CSDA in Aseni after four failed attempt is a dream come through for the people of Aseni, requested more water Projects in the area pointed out that water is the major problem of the area.

A Community leader in Girinya, Saliu Bulami Musa, could not hide his Joy, described the completion of a town hall and water Project in the area as the present administration commitment to wipe away the long years of neglect of the area.

He commended Gov Yahaya Bello for his proactive steps at alleviating the sufferings of the rural dwellers.
