Late Chief (Sir) Hyacinth Chukwunwike Chukwube (KSM) father of Ichie Ody Chukwube, Journalist and media consultant, will be laid to rest on Monday April 12, 2021.
According to the burial arrangements released by the family, there will be a vigil mass on Sunday April 11 at the late Patriarch’s compound in Umuohachom, Umezeawala, Ihiala, Anambra State.
This will be followed by a requiem mass on Monday April 12 at the Christ the King Parish, Umuezeawala. His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. HIllary Paul Odili Okeke, the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese will officiate.
Interment will follow immediately after the mass.
Late Chief Chukwube died on December 25, 2020. A statement announcing his death had described him as “a renowned educationist, politician, administrator, boxer, athlete, who won laurels for Eastern Nigeria and the Okpara, Umuezeawala, Ihiala, Chief (Sir) Hyacinth Chukwunwike Chukwube (KSM) has joined the saints in heaven.
“His death on a Christmas day was as remarkable as his 94 years of exemplary and eventful life.”
